Pray for Kate

IMG_1495

It is hard to believe that I am actually writing this! Right now Kate and Holly are spending the night in PICU at Phoenix Children’s Hospital,  and tomorrow is a day full of tests. Here is the short version: Kate has had a few minor issues over the past few months that she was checked out for and nothing turned up. The other day Holly noticed Kate’s right hand tremoring a bit and called me in to look at it. This morning it was doing it again and Holly wasted no time taking Kate in just to be safe. The pediatrician wanted Kate to have simple blood tests as well as a CAT Scan, and gave Holly the option of going to Phoenix Children’s to have it done quickly. Holly then headed over to PCH this afternoon where they discovered a 2 inch ‘mass’ on her brain, I think it is called basil ganglia(?). So first thing in the morning Kate will have an MRI and that should give more detail and possibly a biopsy later in the day if needed.

We are desperate for prayer and thankful for all the encouragement we have received so far! We know that God is in control, we just have no idea what is going on! Yet, we trust Him even still! To be honest, I really don’t know what else to say! I will try and update this again sometime tomorrow!

  36. I know I have no words to help make it better, but as a person with faith, I too trust that God knows what he’s doing. There is always a plan beyond our comprehension. Also, my father is a neurosurgeon and he said odds are something like this is benign. More rare for it to be malignant. I pray it is benign and all will work out for the highest good of your beautiful daughter. My prayers are with you!
