Kate’s Big Day

Today is a BIG day. There were lots of emotions approaching today, lots of questions, and lots of hope. Here are some pictures I took on my phone, we will have better ones later but these will work for now…

Kate started the day getting to open a couple of presents.

Holly and the team with their homemade Spongebob gowns.

A close up of Holly’s new look.

The infusion of stem cells actually only took about 10 minutes.

Kate did great through the infusion, actually sleeping most of the time, and then needed a treat because of the bad taste associated with the process.

Just a couple of hours after the infusion Kate is making a craft for one of her old roommates who is also on the floor again. Kate said she wanted her friend to feel special today like she does.

Everyone seems really pleased with how Kate did and continues to do through this whole stem cell rescue. The next days and weeks will show hopefully that the cells are engrafting. For now we just wanted to say thank you for praying! We truly are so grateful to God for the overwhelming support we have received every step of the way.
