Our Week

Our week began with some last minute changes. I ended up catching a flight to Houston on short notice to help out an exhausted Holly and Kate. The next day, again at the last minute, a generous friend on his way back home accompanied Olivia and Will out a few days earlier than we had previously planned, thanks Robbie! I am sure Will talked his ear off! Even though they arrived late at night, they were eager to see their sister after being apart for more than a month.

The first day together was full of appointments and hanging out at the hospital. Here the kids are waiting to catch a shuttle bus to get to the next appointment.

We got to check out a local museum, the butterfly exhibit was by far the biggest hit. Kate, and the kids, started posing in the cave, and Olivia stood tall like a tree to entice a butterfly to land on her.

In the middle of this store the kids started crossing their arms and chanting, ‘we’re the hip-hop kids, the hip-hop kids’!

While Kate is getting her proton treatment, Legos have become the game of choice.

Friday night at a great Mexican restaurant in Houston = long time waiting. We were thankful that the balloon lady was there to help us pass the time!

Kate has felt pretty good all week and she has absolutely loved having her brother and sister here. Thanks for all the prayers for Kate and our entire family!
